The mother of a U.S. Marine who died during the ISIS-affiliated attack on Kabul’s airport has been suspended from Facebook and its subsidiary, Instagram.
“Shana Chappell, mother of Marine Kareem Nikoui who was killed in Kabul, had her FB and Instagram accounts suspended for posts she made about her son and her feelings about the President and Vice President,” Lynn Afendoulis, former Michigan State Representative, said on Facebook. “This is horrifying. Her son GAVE HIS LIFE FOR OUR COUNTRY. She can say what she wants. Her FB account is back up. For now. God be with her.”
In her post, Chappell described her encounter with Biden, who met with the families of the Marines who died last week while evacuating Americans and Afghan refugees from the war-torn country, as the Taliban took control.
She claimed that Biden interrupted her, and then rolled his eyes at her when she told him that she would never get to hug or hear her son laugh again.
“I know my face is etched into your brain!” Chappell wrote. “I was able to look you straight in the eyes yesterday and have words with you. After i [sic] lay my son to rest you will be seeing me again!”
Facebook said it “incorrectly” deleted Chappell’s account.
“We express our deepest condolences to Ms. Chappell and her family,” a Facebook spokesperson reportedly said. “Her tribute to her heroic son does not violate any of our policies. While the post was not removed, her account was incorrectly deleted and we have since restored it.”
Nikoui was a 20-year-old Lance Corporal from Norco, California.
“I blame my own military leaders. … Biden turned his back on him. That’s it,” his father, Steve Nikoui said.
Tuesday, Biden called the American withdrawal from Afghanistan “an extraordinary success,” despite the fact that some Americans are still stranded there as the Taliban retakes control.

So it’s okay when T laughs in gold star faces and makes it about them, oh and tells victims of a shooting to just shut up and make him look good. But when B tries to back out of a situation that someone obviously did not need to be in and show compassion by not having her w arrested for assault for getting in his face DURING A PANDEMIC he should be impeached? Great double standards commenters.
Neither is ok. I’m not sure what your life circumstances are (I truly doubt you are a soldier unless your name is Bergdahl) but I have a son serving in Iraq and you can be damn sure that I would do the same thing that this brave mother did if it was my son who died. And by the way, freedom of speech is not assault but instead, it is a constitutional right. Get over yourself with the Covid comment. Biden will never contract Covid — he’s too busy looking at his watch and hiding from the public. Check yourself.
That’s part of a military to served in a country and to the people! Your son is a hero! If this mother will say something not good his son sacrificed will be nothing!
Biden should be impeached. I’m convinced that he is a conman and liar.
So now President Biden should be impeached before he ended a 20 year war that no one won. We should have left that hell hole after President Obama finally got Osama bin Laden it should have ended there. We don’t need any more of our children serving a never ending war, May God Bless America Always.
Tragic, my heart goes out to this family and the other Gold Star families. Government intervention needs to occur now in busting up Face Book. They are clearly politically biased. The last 5 years they have allowed President Trump to be verbally attacked as well as those who support him. Face Book blocks comments, even the simple truth as conveyed by Ms Chappell, if any casts Demented Joe in other than favorable light. God speed to the Gold Star Families.
